I have a Filterqueen Defender Air purifier model RAC-4000a. When I hit the up and down buttons at the same time in an attempt to get the red filter light to flash (which it doesn't do), I get an orange light (looks like a sunburst) that comes on. It's located to the right of the green leaf (on indicator). Any idea what this is or where I can find owners manual for 4000 model. I seen posting for website that has pdf manual for 3000 model. 3000 model did not mention anything about this orange light.
Did you find an answer to your orange light question? I have an AM4000 defender that I bought off Craigslist and thought I got a good deal on it. One minute after turning it on the red light came on. I tried to reset it but the red light won't flash so you can't reset it. I don't know if it's a filter problem or a circuit board problem and I don't want to spend $100 bucks on filters to find out it's a different problem. If you buy filters on e-bay, they're cheaper but if you spend $100 from a distributor then you reactivate the warranty. I'm sorry I bought it.

The light is a reminder to change the filter, it does not sense if the filter has been changed or not.
When the red light is blinking, press and hold both up and down arrows until the red light blinks RAPIDLY, release both for a second or two, and press and hold both again until it stops blinking.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you want the Defender model and not the Majestic model. I believe the latter is a vacuum. Here's a link to the Defender 360 manual. Best of luck. http://www.filterqueen.com/pdf/defender.pdf
For an authorized FILTERQUEEN Distributor in your area, please call 1.800.344.1840 (U.S.) or e-mail [email protected].
They will help you contact the nearest distributor - can probable get one mailed out to you. I didn't see any link where you could download a PDF file. If I can be of further assistance, or if you have questions, please let me know before rating me.
If this solves the issue, please rate it accordingly. My goal is to earn a "FixYa" rating from everyone I help.
If you have replaced your main filter you need to reset the red light. If you have not replaced the main filter you will need to contact your local filterqueen distributor. If you go to www.filterqueen.com they will direct you to your closest distributor and they can walk you through over the phone on how to reset your red light.
When the red light is blinking, press and hold both up and down arrows until the red light blinks RAPIDLY, release both for a second or two, and press and hold both again until it stops blinking. It cured my problem.
