My screen is completely black too. Even took the batteries out over the weekend. replaced them as well. will turn on, just all black, and will turn off,but nothing else. I have tried changing the contrast, this does not help

    I followed these instructions: http://www.fixya.com/support/t1128237-tu...

Unfortunately after that, it keeps showing me random lines, and random pixels.

Try reseting it manually by taking the batteries out, works sometimes.

Adjust screen brightness

Turn the calculator on, press and hold the 2nd button, then press the up-arrow button to increase the contrast or the down-arrow button to decrease the contrast. If you go too far, release both buttons, press and hold the 2nd button, and press the appropriate arrow button.

When I turned it it has a black screen, the entire screen is black and none of the keys do anything. I replaced the batteries.

I think your keys still work, but you need to adjust your contrast. To adjust the contrast by lightening the screen, press and release the "2nd" button and hold the down arrow. Reply back if this doesn't work. Hope this solution helps!

Maybe you need to adjust your contrast. Just hit the 2nd button, then hold up or down on the directional buttons to adjust. If that doesn't work, changing the batteries might.
