Question about KitchenAid Architect Series KEBC208KSS Electric Double Oven
I have a double oven. i tried to self clean it. basically i closed the doors and pushed the clean button. it seemed to be working fine and then all of a sudden the the whole thing just shut down. none of the buttons are lit up. i cant do anything. the door remains locked. i thought it was the circuit breaker. i replaced the breaker and that wasnt it. there is electricity going to the oven, but nothing is happening. please help. this is only 2 years old!!!!! thanks in advance for all your help
The problem is they overheat because hot air is drawn in by the blower and overheats the outer chamber of the oven where the thermo fuse link is. The one or two fuse links are blown simple replacement but have to remove oven (two person job) remove outer shell and find it (them) in the back of the oven. Also the fuse link wire going into the main processor is probably blown.

Same problem with the self cleaning/fuse blown problem
kebc208kss
We have KEBC207KBL0 17 mos. old first trouble 6 mos ago.First attempt to clean upper oven shut the operation down on the lower oven. It has not worked since. Repair people have guessed at trouble and changed 2 control panels and now have ordered a wiring harness. We have had error messages E1 and F5 since the first evidence of trouble.
I have the exact same problem. Pushed clean and left it for the night. Got up in the morning and seemed to have no power to either unit. Checked circuit breaker and nothing was bad at the breaker box. Looking for solutions right now.
over door will not open. this happened after i started the cleaning cycle.
Same problem. Â I've replaced the upper oven thermal fuse, but the oven still won't turn-on. Â There's power to the oven and I believe power to the LCD panel. Â After two Kitchenaid dishwashers, I've finally gone to Bosch. Â Perhaps it also time to move away from Kitchenaid products all together. Â
My Kitchen Aid double oven just shut down, the only thing that turns on is the interior light. I read the the best solution, do I just get fuse links at the harware store? I understand it is a two person job but do I need an oven repair person or is it simple?
i had the same problem ,however Oct05,2007 guest , nailed it on the head. i replaced the thermal fuse and everything is back and working!
