When I try to fax a document or scan it via the feeder, it will feed about half way and then jams -- paper gets all crumpled up and damaged. I look below (where finished pages lie) and there was no paper coming through, like it normally should. It's like it grabs a hold of the paper but somehow doesn't get to go all the way around... am I making any sense? LOL
I have cleaned the rollers and looked for any pieces of paper and have found nothing. Any ideas? As for now, our all-in-one (fax machine) is down. I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!
Whaen scanning, the ADF will not take the paper at all or will only take about half of the first page before it jambs and will not take the rest of the document. Milti-page documents are the worst. Help?

Open the document feeder. Inside you will find a grey feed roller. Cleaning this roller with a cloth dampened with water will help with these paper jams in the document feeder.
You should be able to. It sounds like you've got a paper jam in the document feeder. Chances are there was a jam and part of the document (a small peice perhaps) is still lodged in the document feeder unit.
Your document feed is separate from your received and report prints so that's why your reports are printing ok and the document feeder jams. When you open up the doc feeder and look inside the machine you will see a roller and above it on the cover that opens you will see a rubber pad. Clean both the roller and pad (in fact anything in there that is rubber) with a rubber cleaner, alcohol, or even soap and water on a cloth without it been dripping wet. You will probablt find that they are very dirty. The roller feeds the document in so that needs to be clean and the pad helps to keep all the other docs from feeding in at the same time and that should be very clean so it produces good friction.
The feed rollers may be worn out and need to be replaced, you can try cleaning the rollers with some alcohol, this may also make it feed better. but if it starts to act up again it might be time for new rollers.
Our problem is not solved. It was suggested the feeder needed cleaning or wasn't working. The feeder works as we make copies of documents. If one is scanning can you feed the document or can you only scan one page at a time by placing it on the window?
You may have a really tiny paper jam. You need to open up unit to get access to feeder properly. Use a torch, jams can be so small you can miss them. cheers lilacgerry
Hi, When you had the doucment feed jam were you able to clean or remove any paper that might be blocking the paper to be scanned? It sounds like there is paper still in the document feeder , I would open the DF and check very closely to make sure no paper is in the way!Good Luck!
Is it jamming at the document feeder, or in the blank paper tray? You may need to clean the feed rollers. Use a lint-free cloth (not paper) and some alcohol.
