Hmm, strange. On both my players, when you plug it into the USB port, and go to 'My Computer', you can look at, access, add, delete, re-folder, and basically do anything you want with the files on there!
Make sure it's switched off before connecting to the port.
If you know the make and model, the manufacturer's website might very well have a down-loadable copy of the instructions. They might even email or post you a copy if you ask nicely...Hmm, strange. Use Windows Media Player to download music to your player.
To delete songs from your player follow the method below.

There are two sets of solutions that you may need to apply.
1) Disable Auto-Sync in Windows Media Player. This is how the songs may have been loaded in the first place. Connect your mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Run the mouse over the "Sync" tab - a black arrow should appear - click on the arrow. Click the option that says "Set Up Sync" and uncheck the box that says "Sync Devices Automatically".
2) Delete songs using Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Find the songs that are loaded onto your mp3 player by clicking the icon that represents your mp3 player. Highlight the songs by left-clicking a song once, and press "Delete" on your computer's keyboard.
try to format it...or look at the folder where you place your songs maybe you missplace your songs...because there are specific folders where you should place your songs or videos....
Q:
How do I delete songs from the PD-6110?
A :The
songs only can deleted through your PC. If you use
Windows Media Player 10, go to the Sync window and
select the songs that should show up under the 'Music'
folder tree on the right side of the window and select
the songs you want to delete and press the 'delete'
key on your keyboard.
With
Windows Media Player 11, Open the 'MP3 Player' tree on
the left side of the window then select 'Songs' from
the list. Then select the songs you want to delete and
press the 'delete' key on your keyboard.
You
can also open the 'Removable Disk' under
'My Computer' and
delete the songs from there.
I wasn't able to find a owner's manual, but I might be able to answer the 3 questions you posted anyways ^^
If it says it's a 128MB mp3 player, then the answer to "How much memory is built into it?" would be "128MB", right..? If songs average about 5MB each, that's enough for about 25 songs?
DSP stands for Digital Signal Processing.. it should be able to change the sound of the song a little bit (like boosting/lowering the bass or treble, or making it sound better on different kinds of speakers). Try hitting it and see if the song sounds slightly different.
As for turning it off.. try the same way you turned it on? There should be a power button.. or maybe try holding down the stop or pause button for a few seconds, see what that does.
YOUR NOT GOING TO HAVE THE OPTION ON THE MP3 PLAYER, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPTION WHEN YOU LOAD IT TO THE COPUTER. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS RIGHT CLICK ON THE SONGS THAT YOU WANT REMOVED AND SELECT DELETE. I HOPE THAT WORKS FOR YOU.
THE IPOD ISSUE I HAVE NOT CLUE SORRY
tryed it.open it up(the mp3 player file and nothing
