DVD is installed in ceiling of SUV. Wiring appears to be okay. Accepts DVD; however, it ejects dvd before playing. Screen is white.

RCA dealer/installer in Albany, GA took money for repair, then went out of business and kept money.

    Dear Mr. Smith:

The DVD player is an RCA brand, Model #RC10.4DVD, Serial No. RC104D0235.

I have been unable to locate an obvious 'reset" button. Where should it be?

Hi

First try to reset the unit by using a ball pen and pressing it against the reset button on the unit for 30-40 seconds. Please provide the model no and brand of the DVD player so that I can provide you model specific information. I understand sometimes it feels so frustated on loosing your money like this.

Please do accept the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks Rylee

I JUST BOUT A NEW CAR DVD CEILING MOUNT PLAYER AND i CAN'T GET THE DVD OUT

Kids, go figure. If they aren't putting things in that don't belong in any kind of electronic device, let alone a dvd player, they are fighting over what to watch. I have run into this problem. My kids inserted a dvd into the machine while there was still a dvd in it. What happens is the dvd gets driven into the chassis of the player and the player can't eject it because it is jammed in and it isn't seated correctly. They may be small but when they want to watch a dvd they have the strength of the hulk. Sometimes you are able to eject one of the dvds, but not always. You are going to need to remove the player from the ceiling in order to remove the the top plate of the unit. Since it sounds like you installed the unit it should be easy to do. Make sure you disconnect the wiring harness before you try to remove the back plate. Then you have to take the back plate off, there may be a screw to hold it on but usually it is just slots and tabs and a couple of notches holding it on. Once you remove it, very carefully remove the dvd; you don't want to scratch the dvd any more than it already is and more importantly not bend the chassis or disturb the reading laser assembly. Once the dvd is liberated you can place the back plate back on and reinstall the unit. It isn't particularly difficult. Good luck.

Burn project ejects blank DVD-r

If you are prompted to insert a CD/DVD blank disc into the Burner, you must have the proper UNUSED CD or DVD blank disk. You must use the SIZE disc that corresponds to the Size of the Data to be burned. A CD is 700 Megs thus anything greater than 700 Megs needs a larger disc such as a DVD that is 4.7 Gigs. If the data you are trying to copy to a disc is over 4.7G you need a Dual Layer DVD or BluRay that accepts 25Gigs.

Wii makes grinding noise, when disc is inserted, it immediately ejects it, accepts it back in, then ejects it onto the floor while making horrible grinding noises

There is either something inside of your Wii's DVD Drive blocking the insertion of the disc, or some of the gears inside of the DVD drive are damaged. Lots of times, one of the kids will stuff a penny, credit card, or some other foreign object inside of the Wii's disc slot. The following website sells the DVD drive mechanisms and does repairs on the Wii as well:

Dvd stuck in conia clcd1930

To Eject the DVD, my conia clcd1930 needs to be in "DVD" mode. This Mode appears to activate power to the entire DVD module. So the Eject button will only work in this mode.

Gateway laptop CD/DVD drive issues

Wouldn't hurt to clean the lens with a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol. Sounds like a drive problem that not much will help aside from replacing the drive. They don't normally unseat themselves from the mainboard. Some however get cracks in the ribbon cables and work intermittently.

You can manually eject by going to My Computer and right clicking on the drive as well as check the properties are set to autoplay if that's what you like.

If you choose Explore you should be able to browse the contents.

If it says there is no disc in the drive or appears and disappears from the lineup it's messed up.

PS- You can use a bent paperclip and poke it in the emergency eject hole next to the button if all else fails. At least you don't have to keep restarting. Also make sure you discs are clean.
