My acer aspire V3-571-6846 bluetooth somehow has turned off. There is no bluetooth button on this laptop. When I go to settings, then click change settings (under windows 8), it won't let me turn the bluetooth button on. It stays gray and says it's off. Clicking that bluetooth indicator button was all I used to do to turn it on. I'm not sure what turned it off.

SOURCE: My Acer Aspire 5570Z laptop's power button issue

Underneath the power button that you see is a small board with a tiny tactile button. These tactile buttons because they get used alot tend to go bad. They will get worn out and then eventually won't work.

Best thing to do is to go to this page courtesy of Acer:

https://secure2.tx.acer.com/FixMyAcer3/FixMyAcer.aspx

There is a phone number there and they should be able to tell you if your laptop is under warranty. If its not, ask them the name of the board underneath the power button and its part number and you can search for it yourself on the internet to get the best price

SOURCE: ''e'' button :acer empowering technology

That button can be set using the utility on your programs list

It maybe that you accidentally turned it off or set it to do some other task.

Start there first before re-installing the program that sets it.
That is on one of the cds that should have come with it and can be installed by itself.

There may not be a problem. 'No Device' usually just means that nothing has been paired with your laptop. Open up your Bluetooth settings and click 'Add Device' or 'Setup Device' or whatever, and follow the instructions.

Acer 4930 bluetooth not switching on

There is a slider for turning on the bluetooth for most of the acer laptops. So make sure you've turned that 'slider' to ON.

Try looking around in the Control Panel. The "classic view" might help you find exactly where it is located.

These computers can be made with Bluetooth, but it is still an option, so you may or may not have it. If you don't, small USB adapters are available anywhere that sells electronics (Target, Wal-Mart) for about $20 if you really need it. Bluetooth is slower than a direct USB connection, so if its not too much of an inconvenience, a direct USB connection might work better anyway.

Regardless, here are the instructions I found for installing a Bluetooth device on your laptop:

To install a Bluetooth enabled device:

a. Set up the device so that your computer can find it. To do this, you must:
i. Turn the device on.
ii. Make it discoverable.

b. Click the Start button Picture of the Start button, click Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Bluetooth Devices.

c. Click Add, and then follow the instructions.

How to enable bluetooth

First of all you need to connect bluetooth device to the laptop because most Acer laptops don't usually come with bluetooth device but they have the software/driver that will make bluetooth to work on it. So, I will advice that you get an external bluetooth device connect it to your laptop, the bluetooth application will make the bluetooth device to work. Thanks

I have acer 4730z laptop.

The Acer Aspire 4730 models DO NOT include any bluetooth hardware. The button is there because it shares much of its setup and hardware with the 4930 models which do have bluetooth. So, as the machine tells you, there is no bluetooth device to turn on and off. Check the specs from Acer's website and you will see no mention of bluetooth. You will need to add a bluetooth device. The simplest would be one that plugs into your USB port. Other than that little issue, the 4730 is a very nice notebook for the price.

Bluetooth prolem on acer aspire 5720

welcome to FIXYA

Set up a Bluetooth enabled deviceTo set up a Bluetooth enabled device, you need to do three things:
  1. Add a Bluetooth adapter to your computer.
This is usually done by plugging the adapter into a USB port. (If a Bluetooth adapter is already built in or attached to your computer, ignore this step.)
  2. Set up the device so that your computer can find it.
    To do this, you must:
    • Turn the device on.
    • Make it discoverable.
To learn how to make a device discoverable, check the information that came with your device or go to the manufacturer’s website.
  3. Install the device.
To install most devices, such as a mobile phone, keyboard, mouse, or personal digital assistant (PDA), you can use Bluetooth Devices in Control Panel. If you have Bluetooth wireless technology installed on your computer, follow these steps:
