SD card is protected in my camera need my photos

There is a small white button on a slider on that card. Might it be that it has been protected by it?
Try sliding it towards the opposite of wich it is and make sure it stays!
Then retry!

Screen shows PROTECTED CARD and is not clicking any photo

Hello there,

The best solution to this is to take of the memory card from the camera. Inspect for the small switch on the side of the memory card and move it the other way around. This will disable the write-protection of the card.

Good luck!

Screen displays "card locked" and

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Error message on screen " write protect" why is this?

Is your memory card write protected, SD cards have a small notch on the left hand side of the card which you can slide up or down to select/deselect protection.

Most cameras also have a photo protection facility in the menu to stop you over writing pictures you've decided to protect.

This can be switched on or off via the camera menu under card settings.

Card locked!

Hi,
Have checked that the write protect is off?
To remove the write protect lock, take the card out of the camera, face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab down, it will be at the side of the card like this 59a6de4.jpg .

Cant take photos as it says the card is write protected

Take your memory card out of the camera and switch the position of the little "lock" tab. That should fix it and you can start saving images.
