I have a FRT21FS5AW1 Frigidaire Top Freezer Refrigerator. The bottom isn't cooling all that great and the freezer isn't freezing ice cream. Also, the production of ice has become quite slow. We have cleaned the coils..back and underneath. Cleaned out the entire frig. Checked the little black thing that plugs into the compressor I think.

Re: Freezer not freezing
Check freezer for frost build up and if fan blowing, check condenser make sure clean, and fan blowing,
check vents in refrig. make sure no blockage, controls should be in the middle setting,
you can try turning freezer to Warmer freezer allowing MORE air to refrigertor side.

I understand that your ice cream inside of your Frigidaire refrigerator, FFUS2613L. I would turn down your thermostat to see if that would help correct the issue of your ice cream not freezing. I hope this helps. -Matt
The freezer is not staying cold enough...ice cream takes colder temps...
Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...

It sounds like the evaporator fan is hitting ice that is built up on the evaporator coil. When it's making the noise, open the freezer door and see if it stops.
(Most models are wired so that the evaporator fan cuts off when the freezer door is open.)
Check the inside back, lower panel of the freezer for ice built up or frost on it. If there is, you have a defrost problem that is most likley a bad heater. It's located around the coil inside the freezer behind the panel you will be looking at. The defrost problem would explain the freezer not freezing ice cream.
between the door and freezer is very hot, and the refrigerator is not that cold and the freezing is freezing but not that well, ice cream is soft but meat freeze and ice is not melting. Also behind the fridge at the bottom is very hot.
We let the fridge thaw for two days, cleaned it from top to bottom especially the coils and underneath. We moved it outside and used an air compressor to blow out the dust and dirt around the coils so nothing was damaged in the process. It works like a charm and probably more efficiently too. Before it had quit working it was freezing in the refrigerator part. So that was an indicator something was clogged. Moisture that collects and freezes blocks the air from circulating. The freezer worked great! But ice cream was too hard. Now it's just right.
