I want to learn actionscript.

Hi i am a flash animator. I will do animations fastly. i am working as a flash animator in a media company. but i dont know actionscript. i am trying to learn it. i dont know any programming language. May be thats the reason why actionscript looks difficult. but i am very interested in learning that. and i want to be expert in that. can anyone help me

Actionscript can be compared to macros in Microsoft Office productivity applications. You don't need to know any programming languages; it is a simple scripting language... just read up on some of its syntax (exact command phrasing and keyword order/options) and start by writing a few simple scripts... there are many examples out on the 'net and a few good tutorials on youtube.com and other sites that are free to watch. Enjoy; actionscript can save you a ton of time once you learn the basics (have you watched the videos that came with your Adobe software?).

you should learn actionscript 3! :)
Actionscript is a object-oriented scripting language.
It is based on ECMAscript (Javascript), so if you know Javascript, it could be easier to understand and learn actionscript. But there are differences, that come with flash. Using scenes and time-lines to handle graphics is something specific of actionscript. on adobe website, there is a good library with information on how to use actionscript. Best is to learn it from a book.
