My LG DVD reader will not read DVD disk burned on my other LG DVD bunner

I have 2 LG DVD one burner and the other just a reader but my reader will not read tme DVD burnt on the LLG burner What can be my problem. THanks ALvbow

LG DVD ROM not read the DVD disks, only CD disks.

my lg combo-drive is not reading dvd.sometimes it shows the data in dvd but suddenly it stops detected my dvd.Can anyone help?

My LG DVD Receiver (LH T256SD - it's a home theatre system) don't read dvd's. I've check the region of the dvd player and the dvd's, both region 2. What should I do?

Will it play on a house system IE a DVD player that runs on the TV if not update the drivers not the firmware.

Hi There

It seems to me, and I may be wrong, that you are trying to burn a incorrect disk. If ou want to burn a CD, you have to select a CD as destination disk, and if you want to burn a DVD, you have to select a DVD as destination disk. If you try to burn a DVD but LG program is set to CD, it will eject the disk and wait for the correct disk.

It will also happen if you try to burn a 8.5Gb DVD but have a 4.7Gb DVD in the drive.

Not all DVD Players are compatible with DVD-RWs. Most that I've seen aren't.

I have a HT-DT-ST- RW/DVD GCC 4480B it will burn cd-r but it wont even read dvd-r I just want to burn dvd-r but it wont even read blank one

Sorry, but this device is not a DVD-writer.

This device _should_ read (non-blank) DVD media.
If it does not, then the cheapest solution is to spend $40
to buy a new CD/DVD reader/writer.

I have a dvd writer .it was not reading discs like cd .dvds are reading. i can't burn datas to any discs.from where i get its spares to repair.

hey, if its reading dvd then it can read cds, possible reason is if the cd that your trying to read is burn in a format such as udf or etc. you have to install udf reader first, try to install software udf reader. try this link http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOUND-CARD/ hope it work.

It can't read or burn any data on any empty disks (CD-Rom/DVD)! but it can read any other written disks like: programs , Movies , audio disks , data disks just when I put a blank or Empty disk it seems...

Some CD burners are either "+" or "-" or both "+ -".

That said you will have to check what type of burner you have. Example, you cannot stick a "+" blank cd into a "-" burner, and visa versa.

However, if your cd burner can read and burn both types, you should be okay.

It cant burn and read right? It is much better to replace it with a new one or return it for replacement if there is still a warranty.

LG GSA-H55N Problem

There are 2 seperate lenses for CD's and DVD's, If you have had the drive for a while it is likely to be either 2 things.

1 - possible dust on DVD lens, try a lens cleaning disk..
2 - if 1 didnt work its likely the DVD lens is burnt out and you need to replace the drive..

However before replacing drive try downloading new firmware from LG site and then try once more..

Teac DW-224E-c - cannot burn DVD's

The answer is what you profess. The drive can burn CD's, read CD's and also read DVD's. Everytime I try and burn a DVD I have an unrecognized drive and the properties always show no disk: The drive burns CD's ie;music, but cannot burn DVD it can only read DVD like you say!

Dxlb-19 screen adjustment My monitor has worked perfectly for years but has now started flashing up the on screen adjustment main menu panel. But I can't do anything with it as it disappears again just as quickly and I can't remember what the four silver buttons to the left of the identical power on/off button do.
