My vizio p4 is not coming on. when watching sometimes the picture would go off, i would turn the breaker in the off and on and it would work. this only worked for 2 weeks. then when i would press the on button the red light would turn green but i would not picture. I would not work at all until i disconnected the built in speakers. i got more weeks use and then it happened again. i opened the panel an elliminated the ckt board that feeds the speekers but nothing. i did notice that when i turn the power on the dc plug on the main board which feeds power to the speaker ckt board has 300 vdc when first turned on after relay clicks on the main board the voltage starts to drop rapidly all the way to 5.6vdc. input voltage is good steady 120vac. thanks for any help.

Your statement is not clear. You did"t say which diode and what type of problem you get. Please give the chassis details and clear symptom you seen. Normally burnt up diode is due to overload, threshold frequency, current and bias factor. Your clear picture only much useful to guide you.
