2005-2009 models used electric power steering assist exclusively. There is mo power steering pump, reservoir, or fluid on these models. Instead they use an electric motor mounted to the steering column to provide steering assist 2010 models still use the electric power steering on the four cylinder models but also use a conventional hydraulic power steering on the v-6 models. If you have no power steering assist check the 60 amp main fuse for the power steering in the under hood fuse block if that is o.k. You will need a scan tool to find out what is wrong with the system. It is not uncommon for the electric motors to fail or for the fuse to blow while jump starting the vehicle.

1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced.
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad
6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced.

Here is some common procedure;
Put the Remote in search mode, while directing it to the turned on TV, push the power button repeatedly when the TV shuts down you should push the OK button immediately!

There would be more amp choices if those L7's had the 2ohm voice coils, allowing you to series the coils and then run the subs parallel to the amp for a 2ohm load. As it is, you'll probably have to run them as either 1ohm and have limited amp choices, or as 4ohm and settle for a little less power.

An absolutely excellent amp to use at 4ohm would be the Alpine MRP-M1000. At Crutchfield this one is on sale for $347. For more power, and an amp stable to 1ohm, I would recommend the Rockford-Fosgate Punch 1000-1bd, a "factory refurbished" model is available at Crutchfield for $349.99. It's $700 new.

Both of these amps have adequate power for 2 L7's, but the RF will definitely be the better power choice. Both are also well respected names in mobile audio and the prices are reasonable.

If you have deeper pockets and want to push the subs really hard, a Rockford-Fosgate Punch 1500-1bd will put a full 750 watts RMS to each sub.
