Question about Avaya Partner 34B Corded Phone
Easy w/ some more info. what release acs? no clue maybe... then you can "default" system which restores system setting to day 1 and you then se date and time , then assign ringing to phones after that. UNLESS you have Auto Attendant and / or voice mail card . other settings must be programmed in this case. -Bob

The phone system (cpu, Brains, Switch) is set for auto answer on your Ext. Either power was lost, programming changed or something along those lines. It is global, so if a call "rings" @ your phone, (any call) you can just lift the receiver and speak.
It sounds like the associated phone lines ringing in "lost" memory of your extension. Therefore it must be programmed or in the case of a toshiba system it has a software "glitch or bug". usually due to "I don't know". So I usually find a change was done to ringing by the vendor or just power loss to the system.
there are a million variables because it was manufactured in asia usually. I would need some more info. to be sure. I can tell you it is NOT your phone. try to reset the phone by unplugging for a minute , if no luck you will need the vendor to reset your Ext. with a laptop or do it yourself with the codes from the main or switchboard ext. I am sure I can give you the info to do this and make it ring again, but you are best off calling the dealer in case fat fingers get wild . you could do much harm by trying by one wrong entry and it is what I call Jinglish ( Japanese English or bad translation) in the manual. $80 or so is worth it , mostly if someone was out to change stuff while you where gone.
Or jus unplug the phone system and wait 1 minute before plugging it back in, that will reset the system kind of like rebooting windows and forcing it to re - load the system.
Good luck, let me know.
