No Power Like everyone else the unit was working fine the 1st summer. Pulled it out again and nothing. It powered up for about 30 seconds then shut down. Now no power at all to the control panel. Is there a fuse link, or some kind of auto shut off I should be looking for? I can't say if it still blows hot and cold as I can't power up to find out.

Most likely you have a bad battery. The second option is that you have a faulty wiring and there is a constant load that takes a lot of power, but it does not make a short circuit. Check the electrical relays, maybe it's in them.

Two things to try first before we go further with the diagnosis:
1. Try to power up the netbook with the external hard drive disconnected & see if it will work.
2. Try powering up the netbook from the AC adapter only with the battery removed.

I have discovered an intermittent problem on my 10 year old 295 when powered by batteries.
It appears that the chrome plating is de-laminating from the battery contacts that are either side of the back panel attachment hole. At first glance it looks perfect but if you run a fingernail or other small item across the face of the contact you will see and hear a movement as if there a a loose layer of foil over it. This is causing all manner of faults including 'external power lost, shut-down in 30 seconds' when the external power was not even connected at all!

what u may have done is wwhen u were installing the new board, gave a static shock to the system...that will cause only the fans to come on and nothing more...this is a bad problem bc u cannot fix it...if u figure out something else is wrong, and it gets fixed, let me know

tap on the gas valve with a wrench,not too hard but not too light about 10 times,the valve is probably sticky from not being used,re-light and see what happens.

Yo, I've got the perfect solution to your problem. Pull out the head unit from your dash. Then, remove the wiring harness carefully from the unit. Now, push in the yellow power wire (even jiggle it a little) making sure it's tightly snug the small port of the wiring harness. Then, plug the harness back into the unit and try turning it on. I've found that the wires come lose easily on this unit. hit me back up at [email protected].

try pressing and holding the enter button on the projector for about 30 seconds - this resets it. It worked for me!!

Your power cord is cutting in and out. You either have a bad power cord or there is something wrong with the connection to the cigarette lighter. When the unit say "Running on battery - will turn off in 30 seconds" this mean that it has lost external power. This is by design so that when you shut off the engine external power is cut to the unit and that it will shut down.

It a shame that for the C330 Garmin decided to remove the LED light from the power cord that shows the power cord is connected correctly to the cigarette lighter.
