Open the door around the front of the door seal you will see a lip under the lip you will see a metal band will a spring. get a screw driver and push in on the spring and pop it out. this will remove the front of the seal next is the same thing exept the band looks a little different locate the part that you can unscrew sometimes they have a socket head and sometimes it will have a phillips screw. when you are putting it back on it may be time consuming and you may start to cuss a little. you have to make sure the rubber goes on the right way so that the band seals and doesn';t fall off or you will have a leaking issue. also when taking the seal off you have to take the part that the water comes in off. just peal the rubber away from that plastic shoot. let me know if you have any more questions

When I start the washer, it fills just fine with no problems but once it starts the cycle, it gushes water from the bottom of the door

Check the bottom of the plastic inner door. If there is a crack or a gouge, have it replaced. Also check the rubber door boot for holes above the water line

Replacing door gasket

Most door gaskets are available online, most recommended taking drum out to replace, but task can easily be done by removing rubber from hole in machine (end of a spoon helps) then push drum back through the hole and you will see a large clip on rubber to the drum, unscrew clip and pull out rubber, reverse to replace. Good luck.

The rubber gasket around the drum opening is leaking and rusting

You can replace it by lifting the lip of the rubber around the edge and finding the wire where the springs connect there you can stretch the springs apart, remove the wire and pull off the rubber. Just make sure first that is where the leak is, sometimes a leak in the soap dispenser water tube can seem like door gasket leak.

Replace boot gasket

Hello, Remove the door hinges and plastic covers on the unused hinge screw holes on the opposite side of the door opening (door is reversible, so there are places to mount hinges left and right). Front panel will now snap out at top and lift off lower spring clips. One screw on each side will now release top panel and it will hinge up. Prop up with broom handle or something. Now you can get at everything. Rubber gasket is held onto drum with a cable loop and very strong spring. It rolls off the lip easily to disassemble but is VERY difficult to get back on without special tools or at least two people. Door side of rubber gasket is easy in comparison with rubber tabs inserted into slots and working the gasket into a groove. Hose clamp at bottom of rubber gasket to connect drain hose.

Thanks

Rubber gasket

Hi,

Feel around the seal, in the groove behind the seal face. You'll find a spring at the bottom. With a small screwdriver, lever the spring over the seal face. Work the steel ring off. Fold the seal inside the washer. Unplug the washer, Remove the door, and set aside. Locate your panel screws and remove the front, exposing the drum and basket. There are usually additional screws under the dispenser trays too. Disconnect the door lock wires. Locate the other spring/ring assembly on the outer drum, and remove. Orient your new seal properly and reassemble. The only difference on the reassembly is that, when you are putting the rings back on, start 180 degrees from the spring, and work the ring back on until you get to the spring. Carefully lever the spring back over the seal face, being careful not to damage your new seal.
