After many successful photos, the screen on my Sony dsc-s600 has simply gone black. I can't find any way to make it come on. I can still take pictures, and I can download them, but I can't see them on the screen before or after taking pictures.
First fault may be in the back light panel which is behind the LCD display unit.
If the felexible connector is proper, then there should be the white florescent light.
If the light is OK,then look for a fault in LCD section.

There is a fuse for the LCD backlight only - if it's blown, you should see something on the display if you look closely as there will be no backlight. If you need help locating the fuse, e-mail me at [email protected]
If u r unable to see live picture on LCD screen in camera mode, it means CCD Imager of camera isn't working. Contact nearest Sony service shop for proper solution because it requires CCD Imager replacement.
you will not see the date and time on the thumbnail. look at the photo in full screen. make sure part of the photo is not "cropped" by checking to see if the arrows appear at the bottom and right. I bet the date & time is there, you are not seeing it.
