Most of the digital camera the no's fault is the lens module. but if the lens not even move out and just shut off the pwr , it could be the battery fault ( can't charge up fully or lo voltage ).try with another battery it may help.

Both of you guys are having "Lens Errors". That means that your lens have sustained some sort of damage and will not open properly so they need to be sent into the Casio repairs department. Call them at 800-706-2534 and ext 2 and tell them that you have a lens error and they will tell you where to send your cameras. :)

Camera shuts off lens error

"lens error" will only be fixed by sending into repairs. 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 2. Tell them you have a lens error and they will tell you where to send it.

Casio exz-650 lens problem

800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 2 and they will tell you where to send it. You can try resetting camera but doubt if that will help. Sounds like there was damage to the lens and that's why it's acting that way. Sorry for the bad news. :)

Casio exilim ex-z55 lens gear problem

You may be lucky like me .My wife turned on the Casio Lens down and got same problem as you.
I dismantled the front face of camera to gain access to the lens system and found that one of the plastic sprockets had its teeth slightly twisted!I managed to straightened these carefully with a knife and now Casio good as new....zoom also working perfectly.
This is an easy fix and from what I hear people are giving up on an out of warranty camera, when in fact they maybe abke to easily fix it themselves.
I dont mind helping anyone ...my email is [email protected].

Casio EX-Z55 wont turn on after lens error

A lens error is something that can only be fixed my sending in to the repairs department. There is nothing that can be done at home to fix that.
