Faulty camera Turned on camera , and theres a black ink like mark under LCD screen. None of the features on the camera now work.When camera is of you can still see this mark very faintly LCD screen is white when turned on , black mark takes up left side of screen and is very very slowly getting bigger. Could this possably be a leak of some sort? Thanx Matt

Roger, the LCD screen can be replaced and they are listed on E-bay under camera parts under your make and model camera.

Dear Adrienne,First make sure that the black ink is not empty. If you are sure the black ink is full enough you need to check the print head condition. The print head may be clogged or faulty.
To fix the clogged print head,please perform the following step:

• Print the nozzle check pattern, access the following menu on LCD: Menu>Maintenance>Nozzle Check. The good nozzle pattern should like below sample image.
  

• If the print head nozzle missing some color (i.e Black) the perform print head cleaning: Menu>Maintenance>Cleaning. Then print the nozzle check pattern again. Note: you may repeat this step up to 3 times.
  
• If the problem still remain,then you should perform Deep Cleaning: Menu>Maintenance>Deep Cleaning.
  

If you have perform the above steps but the problem still the same,please check whether the black nozzle missing partially or totally. The faulty Purge Unit (ink pump) may cause the same problem. I mean the purge unit does not work properly so the ink cannot flow. Good luck :)

It's probably coming on but the button has been pushed to activate the viewfinder so all information gose there and the LCD screen remains black OR because this camera has an interesting feature just under the viewfinder that scenes the photographer looking into the viewfinder automatically shuts off the rear LCD screen. If this sensor is blacked then the LCD screen will not come on.

If you transfer the picture to your computer and you get a black image then your "lens" is faulty - actually a cmos based receiver.

If the photo is ok - then the back LCD screen is at fault.

Either way, it needs fixed and if under guarantee contact the manufacturer and ask for a replacement, or take it back to the store you got it from.

Or if out of warranty you will need to buy a new one I am afraid.
If you have some technical skills you could look on eBay for another broken one of the same model as yours and put the two together to get a working camera.

Your liquid crystals (lcd) are leaking.

LCD MIGHT HAVE BROKEN REPLACE LCD

Looks like the contacts of the LCD of your camera are loose. Be advised that this repair would require you to take it apart and may vvoid your warranty. If there are no faulty contacts then you will have to replace the LCD screen. Should cost you around 100-150$

i lost the cd to install the camera so i can download picture. What can i do

you camera shutter is stuck at close position, you will need to open
the thing up to repair.

As for the totally dark screen, either your LCD or driver board is bad. You will need to open and replace the broken part.
