Hi

We must advise that carseat harnesses are never removed due to the serious safety implications of them being incorrectly re-fitted.

The carseat would need to come to our engineers for them to provide fitting of the harness and safety tests to ensure it is working as per specification prior to continued use.

If you're in the UK please contact the customer care team to book in on 01284 413 141 Mon-Thur 08:30-17:30 / Fri 08:30-16:30 (Excluding Bank Holidays) Standard charge is 39.99GBP which does include courier collection and delivery.

If you're not in the UK please visit www.maxi-cosi.com and select the country you're in, then select the Contact Us tab on the right side of the screen for your enquiry to be sent through to the customer care team in your country who will be able to assist.

How do you put the footmuff on the maxi cosi carseat?

Hi,

Open the carseat harness and have the carseat in front of you so you\'re looking at the seat. Slide the shoulder harness pads down the length of the harness and off over the harness clips. Unzip the footmuff and place it into the seat and thread the harness through the holes at shoulder and crotch position. Replace the shoulder harness pads onto the harness. You can now place your baby in, do up the harness + tension correctly, then zip up the footmuff to keep baby cosy.

If you\'re still using the headhugger/lumbar support wedge this can be used underneath the footmuff.

I recently removed the cover of my maxi cosi priori car seat to wash it. Now I cannot work out how to put it back on. Basically I have unhooked both shoulder straps that I think were previously threaded...

Good Afternoon

Go to www.maxi-cosi.com and select the CabrioFix carseat to download a replacement instruction manual for details of how to replace the fabric.

The harness should not have been completely removed from the carseat in order to remove the fabric. If the harness has been completely removed we cannot advise that you re-thread it due to the safety implications of it being incorrectly done. In this instance please contact the customer service department on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30 to discuss the carseat being sent to our engineers for them to re-thread the harness.

Cannot refit maxi cosi car seat straps after washing

Hello - The harness straps of any carseat should not be removed as the re-threading of them requires specialist tools. Due to the safety implications of the harness being incorrectly re-fitted, the carseat would need to be sent to the engineers for inspection and repair as required. If you're in the UK please contact the customer services department on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30 to discuss.

Once removed how do you replace the cover and put the strap back correctly for rear facing maxi-cosi car seat?

Good Evening

Instructions for replacing your fabrics are in your Maxi Cosi CabrioFix user manual. If you no longer have your user manual you can download another copy at www.maxi-cosi.com and selecting the CabrioFix carseat. Above the product image you will see a tab to download a user manual.

If you have removed the harness from the carseat completely this carseat needs to be sent to our engineers for them to re-thread the harness. Due to the safety implications of this being done incorrectly we cannot recommend that this is done by anyone else. The standard charge is £50 and this would include courier delivery service of the carseat back to your address. In addition you will need to make arrangements and cover costs for a courier delivery service of the carseat into our engineers.
