I've got a problem with my phone. It won't turn on. It just keeps flashing the "Hello Moto" welcome screen every 10 seconds or so whenever I press the power button.
I heard that cycling the battery would probably do the trick, but is it positive it works?
i was talking on the phone and then lost everything. full battery, newer phone (4 months). i tried to turn it back on and got the "hello moto" picture with no sound and then it shut off immediately. will not turn on when i stick the charger into it (i did this to check if it was the battery... now the phone wont even let me know that it is accepting the charge... black screen...no response.)

I just started having the same problem yesterday - I get the HelloMoto screen, but then it just shuts off. The battery is fully charged - phone is about a year and a half old.

The charger consists of 4 pins, if one of them does not make contact you get this behavior. Reason is that slot for charger gets dirt in it becuase there are 4 very narrow rectangular holes.

Push down your Home Button and your Lock Button at the same time for about 10 seconds or until you see the apple logo. This will restart your phone and should resolve your problem!
I've had this happen twice, both times when I tried to quit during a long web page download. Just taking the battery out briefly won't help though. It has to be out for somewhere between 12 and 24 hours. Probably there's a capacitor or a small battery that has to drain in order to reset some volatile memory.
try hooking it to your pc..have some sort of phone tool on there for flashing..after you hook it up start it in flash mode, you do thius by holding the star key and the palm key at the same time and then pushing npower while still holding the star and palm
you need to turn off the phone then hold the pound and star keys and the power button untill that screen comes on again and then just turn it off and turn it on again the normal way and it should be fixed
Your mobile phone is infected with a virus if you mobile phone is under warrenty claim it or see how to format you mobile phone which will roll back your mobile phone to factory setting this happens when some one use the bluetooth to recive file from untrusted phone or infected phone etc
