HP Pavillion dv800 screen jumps but has clear picture
Replaced screen in dv800 notebook. Worked fine for 30 days and screen began to jump.. checked cable and screen , both seem to be ok. Video running at 60 HZ.. ??

Check to be sure the ribbon connections are tight. If they are and the previous screen worked perfectly before it was damaged (assuming it was replaced because it was cracked etc) then you may need to return the screen and try another one.
Flickering is a back light issue, jumping around would be caused by the screens reaction to a bad inverter and so would the backlight as well. So flickering backlight and jumping would be a inverter issue causing both problems so I would replace them both.

I faced the same problem with my laptop and the fault was with the power adapter. I noticed that the cursor moved randomally only when the power adapter was plugged in. I got the adapter replaced and it is working fine since then.
check the solder around the area of the vertical IC. solder is either cracked or else cold. Cold solder appears as dull. Resolder anything that isnt shiny.
