You likely have two video input options, s-video and composite (also known as RCA or A/V). All you need to do is change which connector your using in the settings. Look for a button on your remote that says SETUP or OPTIONS. Once you push it, you should get a settings menu. Look for something like REQUIRED SETTINGS or SYSTEM SETTINGS. Play around with it, and you will find the option to select between the connectors.

Simple. Connect the composite output from the VCR to the composite input on the back of the Presidian. Then connect the coaxial output from the back of the DVR to the coaxial input on the back of the Presidian. Then connect the coaxial output from Presidian to the coaxial input on the back of the TV. Turn everything on and enjoy! :-)

format the hdd and reset the settings to factory default then reprogram with your settings and it should work properly again

Cleaning lens (manually) seems to have worked. But, I'm still irritated about having so many unnecessary variables to deal with. The pattern is clear and long. And the landfills are full of hard working people's money.

I am beginning to think the machine works with slower discs but a firmware update will enable the machine to function with the newer "16x" and other discs. Unfortunately, neither Presidian nor the "real" manufacturer (whose name slipped my mind) seem to currently have the update available on their web sites.
