Yes you can, and I do it all the time. I copy the pictures to "My Pictures" folder. If you OPEN the DCIM folder by clicking on it, then SELECT ALL, then choose copy. Now close your camera folder. and OPEN "My Pictures" and then choose PASTE, all your pics should be inserted into "MY PICTURES". The reason your pics are deleted even after you've renamed them is because your OS is only copying them as shortcuts. If you don't want to copy or paste, next time you try to save one of your pics, hold down the shift key while dragging your pic to your folder and it won't move it as a shortcut. Hope this helps.
Hi, to all PC users, having problems with files that you have deleted but recopies itself again and again? Even if you use an anti-virus software, still the file keeps on recopying itself. This type of virus is what we call malware. usually categories as a virus, but known in the computer world as malware. It usually present on infected flash drives. Removal; Instead of using anti virus, use an anti malware software, there are lots of good anti-malware softwares available on the internet for downloads, you can visit www.download.com to get your anti-malware software for free. By the way I am using AD-Aware as my anti malware software. You can also use it side by side with any anti virus software. It scans the PC for malware active on your PC, once cleaned, by scanning it gets rid of those really disgusting files. After the scan, you can now manually delete the recurring files. These malwares can be in the form of worms, trojans or cookies. As a piece of good advice, the best time to load anti malware or anti virus softwares are after reformatting your hard drive with a fresh copy of Windows, before any malware or virus sets in.
I assume you're following the instructions in the manual. If so, search your computer for connected drives - in Windows, just (double) click on 'My Computer'. If the camera is connected, it will show up as if it's just another drive.
Open it - double click on it - then each folder in turn until a bunch of picture files show up. Copy and paste that last folder to your hard disk and open the files in the usual way, with your ordinary picture viewer, not the Fuji software.
If the camera doesn't show up, remove the memory card and use a USB card reader - preferably borrowed - just as if it's the camera, as described above.
If that doesn't get your pictures onto the computer, you have either a camera or USB problem and it's time to get professional help.
If you are able to get your pics. downloaded, rename the copied folder on your hard drive, select all the files on the camera/card - NOT the folders - and delete them. You now have a useable, empty memory card and all your pics in a meaningfully-named folder on your computer, and you're back in business.
For my money, the Finepix software is rubbish, anyway - and a card reader is usually quicker to download and doesn't use up your batteries! Fuji's support site should be able to help you get back in business when you have time to research/e-mail them, though.
card got folder virus thats y its uses twice same number but different pic. ok first load all the pic. which is available and then delete those which is loaded then u can load ur unseen pic. or call 9890274954 for international add 00
Haven’t been able to find any software, but you can try the following workaround: 1. Plug in the camera to the PC and ensure it is detected by the PC. 2. Right click START button and select Explore. 3. From the left panel, scroll to the drive corresponding to your camera. (It will usually be located after the last DVD/CD ROM Drive letter. 4. Click on that drive to expand the folders in the right pane. 5. Search for the relevant pictures from a folder within that drive. 6. Copy the required pics (Hold CTRL and click on pics in case you want to select more than one pic). Then rightt click and select "COPY" 7. Once you copied all the needed pics, select a folder on your computer (or create a new one) and paste the pics into this folder. 8. You're done :)
An external memory card reader is an easy alternative way to copy files from your camera's memory card to your computer.
Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.
You can just go to My computer>choose the drive your camera is connected to> open the folder >select all>copy>you will given a litttle window to choose the copying location>choose the one you want and click ok. This will copy the photos to a folder of your choice and leave them on the camera as well. You do not need software to do this.
Give it a few tries before you go on vacation. Thank you using Fix YA Please rate this answer.
get a memory card reader and try to download pics from card to comp-then open and click any folders you see related to memory card-card will show up as a new drive letter in my computer-pics may be in different folder and still be there-if you can't find pics at all go to sandisk.com and get recovery software to see if you can still retrive them
