Cannot setup C01U Microphone with Adobe Audition2.0.

I was able to set up the C01U mic on my desktop computer and it works perfectly fine but I am having trouble setting it up on my laptop. I tried to set it up exactly the same way as I did before on my desktop but with no luck, I end up getting the track recorded through my laptop's mic. When I set the mic as my default input and try to record, the whole program stops responding and I end up having to restart it. Please help!

Why is it suddenly way too quiet?

Try a different mic to see if problem follows. If yes then it is a setting. If not then the mic is bad and needs to be sent to mfg or get a new one.

1. Try the microphone on another USB port and check.
2. If not OK, try the microphone on another computer and check.
3. If OK on another computer, re-install it or recover the O.S. from a backup.
4. If on another computer the same problem exists, the microphone could have a internal control defect.

I connected the microphone on my computer and the system rec.ognized the microphone but I don't know how to use it with the computer to bring out sound

The thing is that the Samson C01U was not designed for live applications. Your solution, if you like delayed sound, is to use Virtual Audio Cable. Otherwise, I would get either a Samson GTrack, or invest in a cheap but functional mixer with a good mic. If you want to record however, you go into your audio recording settings and select the C01U as the recording mic. If you record and hear little sound, go into sound manager... Click on properties and select on Samson C01U. A one channel volume control will pop out. change the volume and record. BTW, a good audio program is Audacity... It's free. I hope that I have helped you...

Whistling background noise with Samson C01U USB condenser mic

Welcome to the world of STUDIO microphones. Super quality BUT you must have a studio to use them. You can't have any local speaker playing into them. You often use headphones lest your monitor speakers will feedback. At the high frequency capability of these mics, you can fry your amps with oscillations above what you can hear!

After i record my voice with the microphone, it comes out 1 side

The Samson C01U records in mono, not stereo. This is why you hear sound coming only out of one (the left) channel.

Playback only on left speaker

The quick, easy solution is to change your microphone to mono recording. In the attached YouTube clip, I'll show you how to do that.

The short and simple is to go to your Mac HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Audio MIDI Setup. Select your C01U USB device, and set it to 1ch 16bit. This will set the microphone to record in mono, equally over both speakers.
