Can I stack my Kenmore washer (front loader) and dryer?

I have an older model, 43042, and wonder if I can stack them? I need the extra space this will provide. If so, how do I go about doing that? Thanks! Lynn

    I need to know what part needs to be ordered. I cannot locate it on any Sears websites. Any guidance would be helpful

They can be stacked, but you will have to purchase a special kit to do it. Sears should be able to order the kit for you. Without the kit, when the washer goes into spin, the dryer will fall off (not good at all). Good Luck!!! Jim

Kenmore 43042 front loader, black boot (?) twisted and loose
the black gasget on the inside of the door is suppose to be loose and flexible for sealing purposes.
when your washer went thru it's spin cycle is it possible the throw pillow got cought between gasget and wetal tub?

also is this the only time you noticed this ?

Front loader wont agitate or spin, but it fills with water and pumps water out

Kenmore Washer/Dryer Stack -- Need to replace Washer
first of all. comming from a Sears Technician.. (don't yell) -- the delivery drivers only know about delivering stuff. they dont know too much,
if the two are the same size they can be stacked.
sometimes have to rig something up
and yes, for that model the top is removed, clips go on the rear and screwed at the front.
in some areas it is sold seperatly as a stacking kit

yes you are wrong
besides the fact that you will have the machine too high to stack the dishes
however if washing dishes the old fashioned way using your hands is not known to you then you can get a front loader machine and build a stand to put it over the dishwasher
