I have a v cast LG Verizon cell phone and my display screen has the words "car kit" on it. I can't make out going calls nor can I get incoming calls. How do I get it off?
I just read how another guy said to turn off the phone and use something to touch the little prongs on the bottom of the phone ( where you would plug in the charger). I used a small pair of scissors and much to my amazement.....it worked. When I turned my phone on, it started back- good as new.... and Verizon said it couldn't be fixed. Ha! hope this also helps someone else. Good luck!

Re:
It's actually something wrong with your phone. The connector on the bottom of the phone may have gotten wet. If you are comfortable taking the phone apart you can clean the connector w/ 99.5% isopropyl alcohol and a soft bristled brush.
Good luck.
What I did was to take the car charger and plug and unplug from phone. This cleaned the bottom contacts and the phone no longer has the car kit on screen and works well again.
Well i had the same exacts problem because i couldn't hear other people on the other end or any noise with my phone so my dad went and got a can of contact cleaner or that spary that sparays air and where the charger goes in I sparyed it there and put my charger in a few times and when i opened it the car kit was GONE!! I reccommend contact cleaner!!

first you should restart your phone.if you still have same problem means there must be fault in display screen.you should change the display screen of your mobile.but make sure that you should go to your company service.because there are local salesmen they will change old displays .just change the display screen of your mobile
Car kit mode means one of two things, first it could have a piece of lint or paper stuck in the charge port making it think there is a car kit plugged in, or second it could be that some moisture got into the port and its giving a indication that something is plugged in. and thats why you're not getting any sound. There is no specific setting to turn on or off 'car kit' mode you can use a paper clip or something and mess with the port a little bit to see if 'car kit' goes away or replace phone
If the phone will do other things like ring when called, or seem to respond when you press buttons, then the lcd is either bad or the connector is loose. But if the phone will not ring when called and doesn't seem to respond to pressing buttons, then there is something wrong with the phone itself. Always try taking out the battery if you haven't already.
Sometimes when a phone goes onto car kit, it means its time to get a new phone. It shouldnt be doing that on its own. You can either take it in, and have them look at it, or get another phone. Good luck. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
it has car kit on there and i cant call or get calls.
the phone has d same car kit problem
