Feeder Issue I am trying to scan a few pages at a time, but the feeder does not work, its not selecting the pages from the feeder, instead it only scan the page on the glass, can someone help me?

To "Settings/Registration Table"

You can specify the method for restarting scanning of documents when a paper jam occurs in the feeder.

For information on the optional products required to use this function, see "Optional Products Required for Each Function."

1. Press (Settings/Registration) ? [Function Settings] ? [Common] ? [Scan Settings] ? [Feeder Jam Recovery Method].

1. Select [From 1st Page] or [From Stopped Original] ? press [OK].

Details of each item are shown below.
[From 1st Page]: If a paper jam occurs in the feeder, scanning starts again from the first page of the document. [From Stopped Original]: If a paper jam occurs in the feeder, scanning starts again from the page of the document scanning was interrupted.

you either select add a page, or use the document feeder. The document feeder will try to scan all pages into one file.

Yes you can scan up to 30 files in one pdf , and you have to put documents in auto feeder (face up) and from the pc, scan menu, scan to files, select destination and extension.

Strange that the copy through feeder is working and Scan doesn't. Try cleaning the feeder as per instructions in the manual and try again.

you can scan only one doc at atime on this machine.

i had this problem b-4, sometimes you have to turn the printer on and off seceral times befor it works. if you go to your trouble shooting under printer problems you take like a survey to find the problem. was it on when there was a storm? sometimes that can cause an error in the system to. sometimes you just have to repeat over and over w/ turning the computer and printer on and off several times until it works. good luck!!!

I just upgrated my Vista system as recomanded, and after that I am not able to scan documents, getting the messGE " NO PAPER IN THE DOCUMENT FEEDER " on my all in one laiser jet 3050

Our problem is not solved. It was suggested the feeder needed cleaning or wasn't working. The feeder works as we make copies of documents. If one is scanning can you feed the document or can you only scan one page at a time by placing it on the window?

Has the machine got a doc feeder if so select twain scanning select doc feeder and the scan it will scan all pages in the feeder and then you should be able to save as one file.
