Fix the cross on my tv

I have a philiph magnavox model #9p5034 c103 ok my kids lost the remote so i got a universal remote to try to move the cross together but it wont work what eles can i do to fix the color

You will have to get the original remote I,m afraid. There are not any universal remotes except the programmable learning type remotes that will work those functions for you. Need code to program a universal remote!

general process for a universal remote control:

push and hold setup 3 seconds
select the device to control (TV DVD etc)

At this moment TV has to be ON (turn tv on by front panel)
3. continue with remote control pushing power button again and again and again SLOWLY
4. when the tv turns off then press enter to save your code.

I have a 2001 Phillips Magnavox 9P5034 C103 TV. The green power light comes on, but nothing else happens. I have changed the recommended chip, but that didn't work. Is there a high voltage component that...

I would have to say that the television is not worth fixing. The problem is most likely to be in the CRT, (cathode ray tube), or in the electronics that fire the tube. with the prices as they are today, you are better off replacing your TV with a used or new one.

I bought a used 52'' phillips magnavox PTV835 model 9P5034 C103 recently and have had problems with the screen getting about half its normal size. It has a, kind of, bouncing effect as it gets smaller....

The opto couplers are usually what cause that problem in the phillips models.

Here you go.
The remote may not turn the DVD player on and off. Try the codes one by one, with the unit playing a disk. Then try the FF/Rew to see if it is the correct code. Worked for me after all else failed......frustrating huh?
