Question about Canon PIXMA MP160 All-In-One InkJet Printer
First step I would try is; unplug printer usb cable, then power down printer, reconnect usb cable to printer, power printer back on. If all this fails then lets try one other possible fix. Go to start select RUN & type services.msc, ok now you should have a services window that popped up. On the right hand side locate "Printer Spool" and right click on it, then select "Restart". this should refresh your printer spool. Hope this was helpful.

I tried all of the above and still couldnt get it to work. New cable, different ports, restarting.... I have a canon pixma iP1500 already installed, and Im wondering if that will need to be removed before i can proceed with the MP160.

i have the exact problem - i've tried reconnecting the USB cable and have tried different ports - but all with the same outcome - still offline. I'm starting to think it may just be the cable???
software installed, will not install printer
I just reconected my printer to my laptop after 2weeks when i ran out of ink but now it can not print
