I first brought the mic I had no problems. Fast forward 2 months and now it says USB device not recognized. Every now and then it works but most of the time it is not recognized. I'm using xp if this helps.

I dealt with Beatles Rockband Wii on 2 systems with 2 different configurations.
Wireless Drum kit configuration. The Drum USB Transmitter has 2 additional USB ports, that allow Guitar/mic to be connected, plus there is the remaining USB port on the Wii
Wired Drum kit comes with a 4 port USB hub, connect the hub to the Wii, and connect all instruments to the USB hub.
The Wii will only allow 4 controllers connected at once. So if you have multiple Wii Motes, then you may have to disconnect all but the one used for the Mic player (Press 1 on the Wii mote to unsync or remove the batteries)
Can you try using the X1 mic on your PC? Green plug to green jack, pink plug to pink jack, USB plug to USB port. Talk into the X1 mic. Can you hear your voice? If yes, then you probably have a bad chat-controller cable. If no, then your X1 mic may not be working. If that's the problem, you should contact Turtle Beach tech support for help. First thing is what operating system is on the computer.
Second is what does device manager say about the recording interface?
Third in audio properties from the task bar icon, what is the default device for recording?
on the one that is working are you using the usb extender? sometimes it starts to work if you dont use it, and just plug it directly into the usb port. i think xp has problems recognizing the extended thing. (srry i really dont know what to call that thing lol)
