My fog lights went out so my husband tore apart the dash and when he got every thing together, the dash light go out when I turn on my headlights. He checked all the fuses and wires and did not see a problem. Can you help?

Something is not put back together correctly inside the dash. To trouble shoot this will be hard without ripping apart the dash and looking at the wiring. Even a pinched wire could cause this problem. That is why there are pros to do these things. Good Luck

you could always add a good pair of aftermarket fog lights that come with a relay kit and switch you mount to the dash .The only thing is by most laws you cannot run high beams w/aftermarket fog lights on at the same time only low beam ,they have to be manually turned off for oncoming traffic. You can get a good set for around $65.00.These kits come with easy instructions.
You have to go in from underneath the vehicle and behind the fog light assembly. It is a tight fit, but there is basically no other logical way to do it. Take the pigtail off the light and unscrew it from the assembly. Then do the opposite to reinstall.
the red is the power and the black is the ground.measure the resistance from the black wire to the car body,it should be a short or very low resistance.the red wires go to the fog light switch and the fusebox.if you ground the fog lights one at a time, they should come on.
That can be a whole lot of things causing this but first if you have an aftermarket remote starter unhook it first to see if the problem resolves it's self, also there are fuses for the headlights check these, another thing to check is have the alternator check as one that puts out to much voltage will blow fuses and make dash lights really bright, autozone can check these for free anything over 14 volts the alternator regulater has went out .
