Card error or camera error?

Both my 2 GB compact flash cards are empty but the LCD display on the camera state that they are full or only have 20 a/v frames. Have the CF cards been corrupted somehow or is it a fault in the camera?

I am having the same issue with every CF card I put in the camera. But when I put the CF cards in other card readers, the pictures are able to be viewed. Not sure why the camera isn't recognizing the pics on the cards???

I think I may have figured it out. Go to the Playback menu, Folder Designate, Folder Select, All. By doing this I was able to access the pics on my CF card.

When I try to take a photo, I get a "card error" message, but the card works fine in other cameras--?

Maybe it's not a card error but your camera is failing? You might buy a 1 Gb SD card and test how it works with a new card

The CS 4GB SanDisk Memorycard doesn't work in my Minolta Dimage 7i, it says 'unable to use card'.

Hi,
unfortunately some of the older cameras can not handle more than 2Gb memory cards..
it should be stated somewhere in your user manual..
Sorry...I wish I can solve your problem..it is better to return that one and try to get 2 Gb card instead .
Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me

I have Sandisk Extreme III 4GB memory card why after i shooting photo the file is cannot read?

Make sure your camera is compatible with a 4GB flash card. Some only take 1 or 2 GB cards. If that isn't the issue, format your card inside the camera with the camera's format utility.

I bought a 2GB SD card for my Kodak EasyShare C330 Camera

Buy a 1GB card (or 2). The spec for the SD card format is going to 2GB but the Kodak C330 not compatible with 2 GB SD memory cards.

Error message on lcd "card not intialized"

To Funkee Monk

The problem may be due to the size of the cards you are using. The manual for this model only mentions cards up to 512mb in card size as compatible ones. On the Fujifilm's website there is a compatiability chart which does state that the camera can accept up to 2 GB but that some cameras might have to have a firmware upgrade to do so (there is a list of serial numbers at the bottom of the chart to check your camera against.
The link for this is......

Hopefully this will help (& not barking up the wrong tree!)

Error 2

Error 2 has to do with the Compact Flash (CF) memory card.

Try to copy the contents of the card with a card reader into your PC. Then try reformatting the card with your camera, not your PC.

If the card is empty or you don't mind about its contents, try to format the card right away with your camera.

If that does not work, then most probably your CF card is faulty. If it is still on warranty, send it back to the shop and get a new one.

Hope this helps.
