Go into Network connections in control panel and right click on the wireless network icon, then click on properties. In here change the settings so that Windows manages your wirless settings rather than the Belkin software, I find this normally works a lot better and more reliable. You should then be able to double click the wireless icon (Not the Belkin Icon) in the bottom corner of your screen and connect to your wireless network.

Need a pc card for wireless internet connect.Have tried netgear does not work in computer. any suggestion. model of computer 570e imb thinkpad. old computer work great but need internet connection. thanks

You can order pretty much any PCMCIA Wireless network adapter. If the machine is older, you may want to try the "802.11g" or "802.11n" wireless notebook network card.
Try Belkin F5D7010, it uses the "g" signal band.

No wireless connection with my laptop

hi thanks for using fixya!

First of all, make sure that you have your internet connection from your provider.

Try to restart your pc or laptop, disconnect the cable from your router and pc, then install them back again, try to do a reset. Make sure that your router is turned on and working properly. Did you change any setting beforehand?

If you need further assistance, let me know!

Please rate me! thanks!

Belkin router stopped working properly thereis no wireless outpu

have you restarted the router? if so, then see if Belkin offers a firmware update. You will need to connect with a cable to do the update.

Drops the internet connection and has to be rebooted at least once a day.

Try to reduce the MTU of the router. If you're on DSL, set the MTU size to 1492, for Cable connection size is 1400 or 1463. You can do it on the router's admin page http://192.168.1.1

Gateway appears to be offline

It is best to use the reset button on the router to start over.
if it then connects you will have to reset all the passwords and setting you had previously.

Pc works via ethernet cable but wireless laptop cannot see the network

I think you have lost your PPPOE internet connection. Reestablish the connection. If this is not the problem, click your wireless connection on the taskbar and search for your wireless device and reconnect. BPCS
