Ok! On the main part of the turntable should be a spindle, not the one in the middle! That if you put your finger on will turn. This is the motor. On the underside of the silver dish should be a flange. Place the belt round it and put the platter on the center spindle (the one in the middle). If the platter has a hole in it, grab the belt and pull it, while rotating the platter till you can see the motor spindle. Attach the belt to that. Put the rubber matt on and try it out.
The black piece is for 45's with big holes in them (jukebox ones).
PS if the platter hasn't a hole you will have to put the belt on the motor spindle first and then around the flange (try not to pull the belt to much).
Also some turntables pass the belt via a leaver that lifts the belt up and down for 45 and 33 speeds, others just change the motor speed.
1) Remove the platter - just lift up
2) Underneath the platter, you'll see a small lip section
3) Wrap the belt around this lip
4) Put platter back on turntable
5) Rotate platter until you see the motor shaft through the holes on the platter - a brass round looking piece
6) Pinch the belt around the motor shaft.
7) That's it.

first place the belt onto the bottom of the turntable, it will be kind of snug but not very, replace turntable onto centerpin, remove rubber disc, spin the turntable slowly and look thru the opening at the same time, on the right side you will see a gold colored post, that is what you want to run the belt over, just pull it away fron the turntable and around the post

01- Remove the rubber cushion.
02- Remove the Turntable Platter
03- Place your drive belt around the ridge inside the platter
(Make sure that it is not twisted)
04-Place your Turntable Platter back on the unit
05-rotate your platter until you can see a brass knob through one of the round holes in the turntable. (Your belt must be placed around the brass knob) The best way is to take a toothpick and carefully slide it under the drive belt and then pull it out enough that you can place it around the knob. I had the same problem and the above works. If you still have problems getting it back on contact me 352-377-1828......
