I love my new Keuring special edition coffee maker but I find the coffee is not hot enough even though I have the tem at 192.
Is this a common complaint or do I have a defective one?
Is this a defect in Keurig B60 that I cannot get a cup of coffee hot enough from it? I should not have to put the coffee in the microwave before I drink it.
Sounds like the heating element has some hard water buildup on it. Follow the cleaning/descaling instructions that came with your unit, should fix the problem. Also, if you have an in sink garbage disposal, don't waste the hot vinegar. Pour it into the disposal, turning the unit on as you pour, off when you're done. The vinegar is mildly acidic and will disinfect the disposal unit.

Keurig claims that it brews coffee at 192 degrees.
I don't believe that! Because I have tested the temperature of brewed coffee from different Keurig machines several times and it usually lies in the range of 160 to 170 degrees.
Check out this article for tips to get a hotter cup of coffee from Keurig
First try and get it primed. If this is not your problem please let me know. Some times it needs to be descaled. But first try this below.
Hello, this is common. The pumps on these machines are not real good pressure. Sometimes you have to help it prime for the pump to work. So one very good way to solve the problem is to turn the machine on and lift the water reservoir up just a couple of inches and then jam it back in place fast and hard. With this way is like it injects just enough pressure into the system to open the check valveand when the motor pump will run you will realize that immediately water will passing through from reservoir to brewer tank. This procedure has to be done often between cups.
From what we seen in internet their hundreds about the same problem but we have not see any serious response about it From Keurings customer service yet. One other important and related problem frequently reported is the irregulars doses of coffee like HALF-FILLED CUPS of coffee e.t.a
This must be redesign from Keuring factory since there is not much we can do about it to solve once for all even if they will replace your machine with a new one you will have the same problem in few weeks. And definitely this not a problem due your Electricity in your area or due to hard water. However hard water areas will face bigger and more intensive the above problem so one more suggestion is to descaling the machine every week this will help a lot.
If you find the above helpful please remember to vote for it . Thanks Mike
Even though the light is on, this does not mean the element that heats the water is working. After you fill the machine with COLD water, and the light has been on for a few minutes, unplug the machine and dump the water out into a bowl. Carefully, feel the water. Is it hot? OR just warm? Or still cold? If it is warm, the element is not heating properly. If it is cold, the element is NOT working. If the water is HOT, then perhaps the tube from the water storage reservoir to the brewing basket is clogged. If that tube is clogged, it needs to be removed from the machine and cleaned out. If the element is not working, or heating the eater hot enough, that element needs replacement. Chances are, the replacement cost/cost of repair would be more then a new coffee maker.
if you make small cup of water just press small cup with no coffee in before you add coffee, it will warm cup and inside of brewer and coffee will come out much warmer, I have called them and spoken to many friends and this appears to be the only solution. Only takes a second but unfortunate that the customer needs to take an extra step rather than keurig correcting problem. I love it anyway.
There must be a crack at the bottom of your coffee maker. Try bringing it to a specialist or to the store where you bought it. Hope this link can help you if you need to replace it with a new one.
