My ipaq 5555 boots up with the HP splash screen and then goes to the dreaded white screen. HP told me it was out of warranty and that it would cost $279 to fix it. Anyone got any other ideas ?

if you have the original cd setup just reinstall the software. also do a hard reset on the bottom of the device there should be a pin type hole. hold it for 15 seconds then release.

How do I set-up my WLAN card to my HP iPAQ Hw6515

The HP IPAQ 6515 will support WLAN access via a SDIO WIFI card (which looks like a 'long' standard SD card): it is just a bit tricky to get this add-onl SDIO WIFI card to work properly!

IPAQ 6515 doesn't recognize new HP 8Gig SD card

Your 8 Gig card is a SDHC (HC=High Capacity) Card. All HC cards use a different format, which the 6515 can't use...

The biggest capacity the 6515 can use is 4 gig on the SD and 2 gig on the mini SD.

My 4g Transcend card and 2g Sandisk cards have been faultless for about 2 years now.

Sorry, but the 8 gig card is a wonderfull card, but is useless in a 6515

My HP 6515 is staying on a blank white screen after being turn on

Hello ,

Because the iPAQ is not booting up you wont be able to back up any data .

You can uninstall and re-install the Active Sync 4.5 from www.hp.com . Try synchronising . No go then try updating BIOS from the same link www.hp.com. If unable to do so please reply back with the iPAQ serial number (s/n) and product number (p/n).

Or first do a Soft Reset ( will not wipe off data ) by clicking on the link below :
http://www.howtoreset.com/IPAQPDAs/IPAQ6500
If still no go then go to Hard / Clean reset as in second part of teh above link. It will wipe off the entire data though.

Still no go , please refer to the nearest authorised service centre .

Regards ,
Puloma

Ipaq stuck on blue and white screen

Not sure about the memory card way, active sync didn't work on mine either and from what I read it won't but my machine automatically sync'd on starting the sp29841 application file I downloaded from the HP site (the sync can take a while). Active sync didn't start to work again until it was restored through that (up to that the PC didn't recognise the ipaq as connected either). Hope you get it sorted.
