I took mine apart, tested the charging capacitor, failed test, (i aint no tech guy but) the capacitor is the "battery" that ultimately energizes the spark to flash the bulb...its cost is about zero....but like most things, gettin it done would cost $100 or more..and there is no tech stuff like that in Florida...duh...I beez buying a new something...probably Canon...my HTC 6800, VZ gets me where I need to go...for the interim
Mine does the same thing...Charging Flash! I called HP's Customer service, and after 20 minutes of a woman, who could barely speak English, asking me for all my personal information, she told me there would be a charge of $34.99 just to get over the phone tech support!
I am told that we need New cameras, and trust me I will never by anything HP again!
