LG Tromm Dryer keeps blowing breaker. Dryer is on 13 months old, we clean the lint trap after every use and I put in new ducting when I installed the dryer -- cant imagine there is any blockage since we always cleant the lint trap.
Do breakers go bad? The breaker is probably 35 years old same as the house.

If your old clothes dryer is not working well, how do you tell if it's time to replace it?Here are some things to check before you set it on the curb with a"FREE" sign. If it still turns on, runs a proper cycle, doesn't make a lot of squeaks and groans, and your clothes are at least attempting to dry, then check the following before you decide to replace.
1. Check and empty your lint trap before each load. If airflow is restricted, your dryer will need longer to get the job done. A clean lint trapwill allow for maximum intake air to the dryer blower. 2. Check the exhaust duct work for lint buildup. If the 4" duct work that carries your warm, moist, lint-laden air to the exterior of your home is blocked with years of lint and moisture, chances are pretty good your dryer is taking longer than it should to get your clothes dry.
Disconnect the dryer power cord (and gas line if a gas unit), slide the dryer forward far enough to access the 4" duct work clamp at the back of the dryer. Disconnect the duct work at the dryer and separate to inspect both in the dryer exhaust duct and the duct work as well.
Remove all built up lint. You may need to access under the floor, or in the crawlspace, or basement to get at all the areas that lint may be built up. Remember that when there's an elbow chances are pretty good there's lint in there, so take the time to separate the duct work where needed to give it a thorough clean out.
Long straight sections of duct work can be easily cleaned by using a Webster-style pole brush.
Clean the exhaust duct of the dryer but be careful not to damage anything inside your dryer
Reconnect and turn the dryer on air fluff to blow the rest out.
3. Remove lint build up from inside the machine
Turn power off again
Remove the front cover of your dryer
Remove the front drum support/air duct from the front of the dryer
Carefully vacuum the lint out of the dryer with soft brush attachment on your vac. Be careful not to damage any igniter or electrical items.
Clean the inside of the lint trap duct of sediment/ buildup
4. While you've got it open replace the drive belt and check the pulleys.
If this improves your dryer, hang onto it for a while longer! Most times dryers just need a good cleaning and the exhaust duct cleaned. If you're not satisfied with the results, take it to the curb and recycle it to another family.
i looked up your model dryer,your lint filter is on top so your duct or shute that the lint filter slides into is in the back.unplug the dryer,pull it a little way from the wall,look in the back to see how long the vent line is,then slide the dryer out enough so you can remove the vent line without ripping it off the dryer depending on how it's attached,some are clamped,some just slide out if connected to an elbow piece of vent tubing, taped on or some are screwed on.remove the vent line pull the dryer out and remove the back panel,on the left side you'll see the shute or metal duct, pull out the lint filter and remove the two phillips screws,remove the 4 screws that hold the duct on,remove the duct and clean it out,with a shop vac vac up any lint in the blower wheel and what's visible then set the vac to blow and blow out the blower wheel,the pipe where the vent line connects and the heater box on the right side,put the dryer back together except for the two phillips screws on top.now if the vent line is long i use a leaf blower to blow out the line,just stick the leaf blower into the vent line and blow all the lint outside,first go outside and look at the hood where the air blows out,make sure nothing is blocking it,if there's a cage or like chicken wire remove it and keep it off so no lint can get trapped in it,you want the lint to blow outside freely,before you even start to clean out the dryer and vent you can start the dryer,go outside and check how strong the air is blowing out and then check it after you clean it out,it should be stronger,another sign that something is blocked is your clothes take longer to dry.now you should pull the front apart and clean the inside cabinet.watch video,it will show you what to do.hope this helps and you should do this around every year to 18 months.it's easier than it sounds to do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGIG8Wo5-N4
yes fire hazard ---but you need to make sure the lint trapp is seated all the way down if it doesant seat the lint will blow pass the screen ,,replacment might be nesasary if trapp is damaged less than 20 dollers at most parts stores.
ok there,first the clothes must come out off your washer well spun,or dryer will work extra hard/long.next you dry a load with out ducting to elimanate your house venting[you wont hurt a thing]most off the time thats it![house]if still bad and you know your dryer is cleaned out then its an electrical problem.will go ther after you check the above.God bless.please help with my ratings if i have be helpful,tom

There is a high probability that when you replaced your fuse box to circuit breakers that the wiring at the fuse box was retightened. If your dryer had been operating Ok for the better part of a year and then you started to blow fuses on a regular basis.. chances are the wiring coming from the fuse box tap was becoming loose from thermal expansion and contraction and that by changing to a breaker system.. your wiring was cut and reterminated to fit the breaker tap. I suspect you won't be having any additional problems...

Most likely you have a bad electrical connection, resulting in only 120 volts to dryer. (enough to run the 120 volt motor, but not enough to power the 240 volt heating elements) Turn off breaker. Make sure wires on breaker are tight. Make sure nutral wire is tight in breaker box. Take cover off dryer recepticle and check the wires in it to make sure they are all tight. Check that the connections of the cord at the dryer are tight.
The problem with the LG tromm dryers are seemingly two fold. 1. The dryer stops heating and drying the cloths. I found out AFTER HAVING IT SERVICED TWICE AND WAITING A MONTH FOR A NON ESSENTIAL PART. The problem turned out to be the dryer vent going from the wall to the outside was severly clogged. Once this was corrected the dryer worked great.
2. The second issue probably is a design issue in that a large amount of lint seems to get by the lint filter and ends up in the vent that the dryer is connected to and goes out side the house. In my case I have a long dryer vent imbeded into the wall to the exterior, in a shorter vent this probably wouldn't be an issue.
