Question about Danby DKC645BLS Compact Beverage Cooler
First off, I'd like to know if anyone else has to attempt 4 or 5 times of pressing the gauges in order to get them to work? As well, once I do get it to work, it now will not allow me to go below 36 degrees. Even with that occuring, the kegerator doesn't always stay at the setting I have it on. I keep assuming there is a crack somewhere, but have yet to find one. It is constanly fluxuating between 34 and 38 degrees. My girl is a month old, so this can't be from wear and tear. Anyone that knows anything, your help is greatly appreciated.
Here is a quick and easy fix. Open the door and look to the back left. There is a small grate covering the temp sensor. Remove the grate and place the sensor into a small cup of water. The sensor will now read the "liquid" temp inside the keg, and not the "air" temp. The Danby will then cool the inside to a more beer friendly temp, and should not only cut back on foam, but taste better.

Had a very similar problem but mine was only two days old. At first the controls worked. Then I could get them to raise or lower the temp. It seemed to cycle through temps ranging from 32 - 48 with no apparent reason. Called Danby and took it back to Sams for a replacement. Haven't had a problem with the control on the new one.

According to their customer support this is perfectly normal. You are actually one of the lucky ones, holding the temperture between 34 and 38. My unit holds at 42. Sometimes a bit warmer. Buyer Beware! Guess I will be investing in a stout. Something that could be a little warmer when ingested. So much for ice cold beer.

That makes sense, but doesn't explain why the temperature gauge won't even allow me to attempt to set it below 36 degrees if I so choose.
