SOURCE: DEnon AVR 2807 not giving desired output

You may be able to unplug the unit. Then turn it back on while pressing two buttons on the front of the unit. You will have to find out which two buttons they are, it can't just be any two. What you will be doing to the unit is resetting the micoprossing of the unit. When you do this the unit will flash, reset itself, you the release the buttons and your good as new. I have done this with a couple different reciever and it is a easy fix.

SOURCE: Selecting a Blu-Ray Player

If Denon blu ray has coaxial or optical out for audio, then your Denon receiver will process this signal and will give you 7.1 out sound.

SOURCE: Headphones only have left channel on Denon AVR-588 Receiver

Hi peroty,

Two suggestions for you.

1. If you look at the headphone jack connecton do you see one or two black O-rings or black lines on the jack. If you only see one they are Mono headphones and you would only get sound out of the left side. If there are two black lines they are stereo headphones and you should get sound on both the left & right sides.

2. If after checking the headphone jack connection and there are two black lines on it then I would suggest try a different pair of headphones to see if a different set of headphones works fine.

If a different pair of headphones works properly the original headphones may be bad. If neither set of headphones work properly it may be the reciever that may need to be repaired.

I hope it's not the receiver, but let me know if you have questions.

Page 10. The S-302 uses a proprietary D-Sub25 system cable to the DSW-S302 subwoofer. Don't know if or why it has more than 2 active conductors. The other speakers have removable cable ends so they might work just fine.

you need to find a headphones, put a drop of contact cleaner on headphone plug and plug it into receiver's h/p input several times. It cleanes internal h/p connector contacts and unit will work fine. If doen't help the receiver most likely has bad h/p connector soldering.

AVR-4800 - After 30 min audio goes out all channels just hum/buzz

if it is under warrantee then fix it.
sounds like a component is over heating, probably cost couple hundred (or more) to fix it, balance that with what you paid.

Changing the component input to composite or s-video output

It will not work. This unit can not convert video signal from component to s-video. Use the same type of connections on DVD and TV.

Connecting two mulitchannel devices into one receiver

I guess you could try y cable adapters for input on the Denon. Might get messy. Try radio shack and pick up 5 y cables for the speakers and 1 for the sub. Someone probably makes an audio switcher that handles that as well.
