Some one replace this CDRom with Old one with Compaq made device. One combo drive is available ie..... Toshiba Model No: SD-C2612 mfd : April 2003 ver no. 302 Rom ver : 1315 Serial No: 344M007847 But when i attache this device the system is unable to find this . So, i want to know what is that problem & what will be the solution for this.. Thanks & regards Sanjay Saini +91 9991088475
Generally speaking if the system cannot "Find" the CD/DVD then it has a hardware fault. OR the BIOS doesn't recognize any DVD's. If it is the latter then one may be able to "Upgrade" the BIOS, if the first.. then a New unit is only option. Also check to make sure the drive "Jumper" is set to Master, if it is the only device on that Channel, if not then Slave.
