(http://www.emersonradio.com/dst.htm) Copy this web link and paste it into the address bar of the browser. It will take you to the Emerson customer support web page. On this page is the update for setting the day light saving time function on your clock/radio. You may also have to replace the internal battery in the clock/radios to keep it working up to date. The battery usually has a three year life span. This may be shorten by power outages and leaving the radios unplugged for long periods of time. I hope this information helps you with your problem.(http://www.emersonradio.com/dst.htm) Copy this web link and paste it into the address bar of the browser. How do I get my smart alarm clock to reset itself automatically since the goverment changed the daylight savings time? Or, if I buy a new one will it have the new time changes?

The Daylight Saving Time settings are not user controlled, so you cannot convert the changeovers to the new schedule - you can only change the time manually. Any new clock or clock radio with automatic settings will work on the new schedule.

Day Light Savings Time

If you tip your clock over you will see three little buttons under. They are each labeled. Press/hold the one that says "clock" until your display blinks. Use the forward/back buttons on face of clock to re-set time, then press the little "clock" button underneath it again to keep the time you just set. It probably will beep.
When Congress's ideal day comes, re-set it the same way. Sorry, but all this will do is keep you from having to look at the wrong time for a few weeks straight.

Emerson Research SmartSet Clock Radio

There was a sheet of paper that came with my clock explaining how to adjust the daylight savings time settings, but I lost it.  Anyone have theirs?  All i know is it requires that you press an awkward combination of buttons simultaneously, but that's it.

Emerson Smartset Radio Model CKS2288

The Daylight Saving dates appear to be hard-coded per the manual:

Start of Daylight Saving Time:
At 1:59.59 AM on the first Sunday in April, the clock will automatically advance to 3:00 AM.
End of Daylight Saving Time:
At 2:59.59 AM on the last Sunday in October, the clock will automatically reset to 2:00 AM.

So the easiest thing to do is to change your time zone up or down one for the period between the new DST date and the old -- or you can buy a new SmartSet for about $15. The newer ones do not have the same problem.
