Half of the screen on the ZTE Warp has gone Dark. There's approximately a half inch strip on the left side that stays dark. If the phone is flipped, the screen image flipps accordingly but the black strip would then be on the right. So that dark strip of screen stays dark. I don't know what to do. Is there an update needed or is it not software but hardware related? Thanks in advance!

If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and graduallythe charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The batteryshows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops offto zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptablecharge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

When this happens, immediately remove the battery. Let the phone dry (it may take several hours) before you put the battery back in and try to turn it on. If it is only water, and you act quickly enough, your phone may be okay.
