Question about Samsung TV Remote Control

Catv every time there is a power outage it affects my television programming and the television is restricted to 13 channels 1-13.on the television there is no menu display just channel up,volume up and channel down volume down.is there any thing that i can do manually to get the television to work

Try to purchase a new remote for samsung because all samsung remote is universal to all remote units.and there you can set the program.

I can't program my tv to regular antenna channels
You can program to regular (analog) antenna channels. To do so you must use the original remote which has a TV/DTV switch in the top right corner of the remote. Choose the appropriate mode for the type of channel you want to see or scan for. Here is a link to the owners manual and a picture of the remote swithc. The info on the signal switching is on pg.13.

Choose the AUTO CHANNEL SET option, then use b / B to find channels. • The tuner will automatically cycle through all available channels (TV/CATV) in the area and place them in the tuner's memory. •After the AUTO CHANNEL SET is complete, the TUNING menu will hide and return to the TV screen automatically. 3. Make sure the TUNING BAND is set appropriately (TV or CATV). • TV : If you are using a standard antenna to receive channels. •CATV : If you are using basic cable to receive channels.

I have a Disney Princess 13" color television, and I cannot get cable channels to work. I read the insturction manual, but get confussed at "ATV AIR" or ATV CATV" or "DTV AIR" or "DTV CATV"..I did hit...
Need more details. Is it an hdmi hookup or a coaxial? Is your cable line hooked up directly to the TV or are you using a modem? Is it a smart TV or just regular?

I have an older Broksonic TV that has a built in DVD player.
Under the menu settings, make sure tv is set to CATV and not Air. CATV is for cable.
Then look for tuner options or channel edit options.
Find the "autoprogram" option and select it. It will scan and remember all available channels

Can only pick up chanel from 2 thru 13,do i need a box converter all other tv get 98 stations
A converter box will allow you to get all the channels but if you are only getting 2-13 now go into the customer menu and I think you will find the set is in the AIR band and not the CATV band.

With the remote you should be able to move it into the CATV or cable mode and then if needed find and select auto program.

The fact you are only getting 2-13 means it is not in the CATV or cable mode.

How to watch more than 13 channels on your tv
If you are connected to cable TV then you have to set the tuner to CATV mode and then let it program itself... Otherwise you will only be able to access channels 2-13.

Channel numbers above 13 do not come in. This started after a power failure. All numbers are received on another TV at that site. How do I program the stations that should be received?
Go into the TV's setup screen and set the tuning mode for "cable" or "CATV". It got set back to "air" after the power failure. When set for off-air tuning, only channels 2 through 13 tune properly. Set for cable and rescan channels and you'll be set.

Try bringing up the menu by holding both volume buttons down at the same time (or use menu button on remote if you have it). Go into CH SET using the channel and volume buttons on the front of set (or use the SET + and - and the ENTER buttons on remote). Go to the TV CATV line and move the arrow to CATV. Let menu time out. This will put tv into cable mode. Hope this helps.

My Quasar VV8220
According to the manual, follow the steps below to program channels on your Quasar VV8220 TV:

1) Hold the CHANNEL MEMORY Button on your remote in and press the 1 key
(a box will come up where you can shift between TV & CATV --
you will want to be on CATV (for cable channels).

2) Press the 4 key which will change from TV to CATV -- make sure it is
on CATV or if it is already on CATV, press the 5 key.

3) Press the 4 key (the auto set guide will engage and go through the channels).
