I Have just purchased a new SD card but the camara comes uo with a card error and askes me to format the card again, I select menu and select format and the same erroe comes up. Is thai a problem with my card or camara

Hi check the SD in memory reader that connect to computer > format the memory if problem exist> check for viruses> if memory reader can read it take out battery of camera and clean up the slot of memory cardBy

Take it back to the shop and ask them to check by inserting another card or card into another camera
Get which ever it is play up replaced

Formatting an SD Memory Card or Internal Memory
This utility formats the internal memory (or memory card) and erases all stored images and data.
1. Press the button to turn on your ViviCam 3785.
2. Press the MODE button twice to enter [ ] Playback mode. Then press
the button to enter the Playback menu.
3. Select [Delete] by using the / buttons, and press the button.
4. Select [Format ] by using the / buttons, and press the button.
5. If you want to format your SD memory card or the internal memory choose
[OK] by pressing / buttons, then press the button to confirm.
To cancel the action, select [Cancel] instead.
[No Image] pops up after the SD memory card or internal memory
has been formatted.
Note:
Be sure the SD memory card is properly inserted into the camera before formatting it.
To format the internal memory, be sure to remove your SD memory card first.
Formatting will erase all information (even unrelated , non-camera data) from the memory/card.
For complete compatibility, be sure NOT to select FAT 32 as the file system when you format the SD card in
your computer. Memory cards formatted in FAT 32 file system will not be recognized by this ViviCam 3785.
1. From the home screen press Menu then select Settings.
2. Choose Memory manager and select External memory.
3. Press Format and enter the password, which is set to 0000 as default. Your memory card will be formatted and ready to use.
4. To view the new formatted folders on your GW300 press Menu and select My stuff. Choose My memory card.
To format the SD card, select [Format] from the [Setup] menu
To bring up the Menu option, press the Menu/Set button. Then select [Setup] and then select [FORMAT]. Then choose Yes to format the card.
Please note:
This requires a sufficiently charged battery, or an AC adaptor (optional) and DC coupler (optional). When formatting the built-in memory, remove the cards.
(Only inserted card will be formatted if present; built-in memory will be formatted if no card is inserted.)
• Always format cards with this camera.
• All picture data including protected pictures will be deleted.
• Do not turn off power or perform other operations during formatting.
Formatting the memory card according to rhe camera's supported format should fix this. If after formatting and did not work, it means that the memory storage device is faulty. You have to replace your memory card with a new one to make take and save pictures again.

in windows XP, select My Computer icon, right-click the icon and select the SD card. Now right-click the mouse button and select ?Format? from the pop-up menu. The formatting will commence.
If you used the SD/MMC memory card in another brand of camera or device, you may need to format the card in your new EasyShare digital camera. (You may have noticed a "Memory Card Needs Formatting" message when you inserted the card.)

Highlight an option - MEMORY CARD (deletes everything on the card), CANCEL (exits without formatting), or INTERNAL MEMORY (deletes everything in internal memory).
Press the OK button.
Highlight Continue, and then press the OK button. Wait until formatting is finished before removing the card.
When formatting is complete, the SETUP MENU is displayed.
Press the Menu button to exit the menu.
