Kenmore side by side fridge not freezing after pwr went out for few hours

I see that i have the same problem as a few others. my power went out during the night early am...and now the fridge is not cold, freezer isn't working. my water dispenser is working fine. any ideas or troubleshooting techniques i could try before sears comes out and rips me a new @$$$%%@$*

When i plug my Kenmore side by side model 51514100 i blow a fuse in my fuse panel and i just replaced power start relay capacitor. Is my compressor shot?

Any suggestions

My little three year old jammed a cup in the cold water dispenser and flooded the kitchen floor.
Ever since that the cold water stoped dispensing water.
I checked water pressure and is ok.I checked the out put signal
from the micro switch and is good,but the signal is not reaching the water pump.
The pump works when ice maker cycles on and off.
Mod.#51572200 Kenmore side by side.

Any ideas anybody?.Thanks.

Check freezer for frost build up and if fan blowing, check condenser make sure clean, and fan blowing, check vents in refrig. make sure no blockage, freezer control should be in the middle setting, you can try turning that to Warmer freezer allowing MORE air to refrigertor side.

My Kenmore 106.58909802 is freezing the food in the fridge and the water line is frozen too. any ideas?

Turn up the thermostat a bit and place a fridge thermometer inside to monitor the temperature.

Pull the fridge away from the wall and vacuum the coils, and underneath. Leave it away for a few hours.

Freezer won't freeze and fridge side freezing vegetables

In the back there is a radiator and it is frozen solid, you have to deice it, unplug the fridge and take the cover off and remove the ice build up, hair dryer should do the trick, or leave it unplugged for few hours.

My Kenmore side by side is fine, except for freezing everything in the crisper drawers.

The coldest place in your fridge is in the crisper drawers, manufactures know this and they even put heaters under the floor of your fridge to try to heat it up a bit in there, if you set your freezer temperture to low there will be less cold air current that flows into your fridge but it will flow in over a longer period of time, that air is about -22C so it will be blowing on your items in your crisper for a long time and it will probably freeze them, all very confusing and complicated but it may help to turn your controles for your freezer to a warmer setting, on the other hand if you only open your fridge a few times a day the cold air being denser will settle in the bottom of the fridge and freeze the crisper area, not much you can do about this, except eat more food... :-)

For no reason, my freezer went up to 56 degrees in a matter of 5-6 hours. I pulled the plug like the manual states because the temp was blinking. That solved the blinking. In 6 hours the temp dropped to 44...

You have either a sealed system problem or a control board problem. It's difficult to know which is which. You will need a qualified technician to determine what the problem is.

Our Kenmore Pro side by side is still stuck. The service tech came out and replaced the control panel located in the fridge and that didn't solve the problem. There only thing working is a small fan in...

Sorry to say but your Service tech seems to be totally incompetent since the compressor still isn't working along with several of the other components. If that was the problems it should have reset itself the 1st time once it was installed. Have them send out another more experienced tech.

check to make sure that there is no ice build up in the went in the freezer, best way to fix is to shut off fridge for about 8 hours to defrost and then plug back in, this will help the fridge start cooling again.

Kenmore fridge stopped cooling

sounds like its freezing up on you. check the drain outlet and make sure that its clear. also i would replace the defrost timer on this unit because its suppose to bring on the heaterfs to melyt the ice so thaat yoiu don't have to. they are around 30 mdollars at the appliancew repair store and all you need is the model number and serial number for the uit. after you get it it's either on the very top of the refrigerator section or in the very back. It has 4 wires going to it. good luck.

Hi kelli Yes you can lay It down So that the compressor Is at the top. But when you stand It up again You must let It stand for a few hours before you turn It on ope this answers your question
