Same thing happened to me, I called the company, and they told me to remove the battery, press the on button for 5 seconds, which clears the system, replace the battery and do a long charge 12 hours. I'm in the process of doing that now.

SOURCE: roomba 4210 replaced aps battery still does not work

Try cleaning the silver contacts on the battery as well as the charging station with a small amount of rubbing alcohol such as an alcohol pad.
Also check to make sure the dirt reserve is completely empty. Also check that the briushes are clear and can move freely.
This 'not charging' is a very common problem with the Roomba and the manufacturers continue to sell rechargable batteries that are no good even though they are aware of the problem.

SOURCE: Roomba 4106 new battery charged but wont start

see the diodes, resistor, capacitor inside for test.
since the battery is new, the power charger is faulty, power regulator IC is bad.

I have a 4.5 year old IRobot Roomba 530 Robotic Vacuum. Appears to be fully charged but then only runs for about 30 seconds before stopping. What may be the problem?

You need a new battery - they don't hold their charge after a while. There is a lot of advice on line about how to try to make the battery last longer but 4.5 years is actually pretty good.

Just put a new battery in scuba and it runs about 30 seconds (completely charged)

1) replace again the batteries by new ones and completely charged.
2) test the charger if if functioning properly, can be faulty, and not charge well the batteries.
3) test the power supplies inside from the scuba, to due some short circuit drain the batteries.

I have a 2 year old Electrolux ergorapido cleaner that gets used daily for about 2/3 min, the blue light on the stand comes on when the cleaner is put on to charge but fades after about 5 min & the...

No, not worn out batteries.
For my experience, if the batteries were worn, they would charge with the blue led being on and after that, the vacuum wouldn't hold his charge. just that.
This is a different problem. Check the contacts between the charging station and the vacuum, mines got bent a bit and stopped making contact. This has happened twice and just fixed it about 30 min ago. That is why the led first lights and then goes off, there was just a brief contact between them.
Nice vacuum, very powerful and handy but maybe it is just poorly made as it is engineered in Sweden but built in China.

After the dc16 is charged, I try using it but it only works for about 30 seconds and then it stops. I've had the vaccum for about 3 years. I need a solutions. Could it be the battery?

Almost certainly the battery. 3 years is pretty good for those batteries. Normally batteries can be changed by suitably "interested" people, but I don't know about that specific model. Check out the replacement price of the whole thing compared to the replacement price of just the battery before you jump in though.

My irobot (Roomba)is only working for 10 mins then

It should take about 6 hrs to charge. I had the same problem and reset the charging circuit. 1) Charge it until the green light comes on. 2) Unplug and pull battery out. 3) hold down the power on button 15-30 seconds. 4.) Put the battery back in, plug in the charger (direct - not through the dock) and charge for 72 hrs. Then, run at Max clean until the "I'm dead" tune plays.

Roomba cuts off after a minute or so.

If you have a 400 series Roomba, try removing the battery, then holding down the power button for ten seconds, then recharging the unit before you run it again.

If you have a 500 series Roomba, don't take out the battery-- just press and hold the "spot" and "dock" buttons for about fifteen seconds. The Roomba will play a tune, and you can then charge it and try running it again later.

Battery temperature sensor.

you should not make your own battery and use it with roomba, or try charging it with a charger not meant for roomba, i suggest you buy the APS battery on ebay for $30 - $40. and buy a new charger from the company for $30. You can do some serious damage to the motherboard on the robot and your roomba might not work at all after that.
