I need the large main drive gear for the Fellowes PS60C-2

I had a jam and the main large plastic drive gear for the cutters now has five broken teeth. Can't seem to find a replacement. Could use some help!

Actually go buy a new shredder will be better for fixing this severe damage.

Broken plastic gear tooth - Fellowes P55-C Shredder

I suggest using Belzona (metal compound). Mix it with its hardner, paste it over the broken gear (dont worry if it gets over a couple of other gears. Let Belzona sink and dry (4-5hours). Get a Dremel drill with a fine blade on it and cut accurately where the teeth are meant to be. Voila, you have fixed your gear.

There are usually one or two hidden screws under the stickers.

Novitech shredder

After clearing the jam (with the unit unplugged!), let the unit cool completely, then try using it again. A notice on the nameplate inside my unit says: "2 min on/4 min off." Apparently, a thermal cutoff keeps it from overheating by automatically preventing continued operation that might otherwise melt the parts. So heed the directions. I had the same problem with my NoviTech Model PS-026/B2 crosscut shredder (max: 5 sheets, 1 credit card). Also, make sure the motor mechanism is seated square and flush on the bin. I tried testing it out of the bin, and the green ready light wouldn't come on -- for a good reason: safety. (I still have all of my fingers, thanks to that!) Hope this helps.

Motor runs both forward and reverse, but cutters don't turn

How about a hidden 7th screw? If you look at the sticker on the underside where the bar code is you may see a dimple like there is a hollow space under it. If you can't see it, rub your finger over it to find the hole. Just stick your phillips screw driver through the sticker to get access to this last screw. As for the motor working both directions but the cutter doesn't turn it is most likely a broken nylon cog on the drive gears within the white plastic housing at the end of the shredder. There are 3 or 4 gears - all nylon (plastic), my unit had one tooth completely broken off and the one next to it was worn. I am looking into finding parts but I'm not having any luck so far with local service centres. I have a call into the fellowes main 1-800 number to see if they can help. On reviews I have seen this is a common problem. One reviewer was told they use nylon to reduce noise, but of course it isn't going to last long, especially if you ever jam. Nice metal cutters but the weak link is the drive gears that you can't see.
