Turning on for 2 seconds then shutting off

Everytime i turn on my tv it stays on for about 2 seconds then shuts off.

Similarly, mine starts up but after moments with a streaky blue screen, it shuts down. My prior Mitsubishi lasted years and years trouble free. Pretty disappointed in this one as a consequence. The dealership/techy suggested unplugging for a half hour and try again. No benefit was realized.

Thats the protection circuit. it detects that the low and or high voltage is not correct and shuts down.
you need a tech .

T.v. ejecting vcr tape and turning self off after being turned on

If VCR mechanism doesn't load or unload properly, TV will shut off. VCR machnisam in your TV requires cleaning/ service. Spacialy belts and pulleys.

Sony LCD Projection TV turning OFF!!!

I also have a Sony KDF-42WE655 42" Lcd television. We just changed the lamp (bulb) several weeks ago and has noticed that everytime we turn on the television it stays on about 30-40 seconds then cuts off. After about 15-20 seconds it cuts itself back on. Weird!! It must have something to do with changing the bulb!?!?

TRY REPLACING THE REGULATOR OR CHECK DIODES IN SAID CIRCUIT ,ALSO CHECK FOR BAD CONNECTIONS.

These sets are notorious to have bad components in the power supply, and if you have solid state repair experience, you will need a service manual to repair this SMPS(switch mode power supply) Good Luck
